1. Different materials:
*Welded steel pipe: Welded steel pipe refers to a steel pipe with surface seams that is formed by bending and deforming steel strips or steel plates into circular, square, or other shapes, and then welding. The billet used for welded steel pipe is steel plate or strip steel.
*Seamless steel pipe: A steel pipe made of a single piece of metal with no joints on the surface, called a seamless steel pipe.
2. Different uses:
*Welded steel pipes: can be used as water and gas pipes, and large-diameter straight seam welded pipes are used for high-pressure oil and gas transportation, etc; Spiral welded pipes are used for oil and gas transportation, pipe piles, bridge piers, etc.
*Seamless steel pipe: used for petroleum geological drilling pipes, cracking pipes for petrochemicals, boiler pipes, bearing pipes, as well as high-precision structural steel pipes for automobiles, tractors, and aviation.
3. Different classifications:
*Welded steel pipes: According to different welding methods, they can be divided into arc welded pipes, high-frequency or low-frequency resistance welded pipes, gas welded pipes, furnace welded pipes, Bondi pipes, etc. According to their uses, they are further divided into general welded pipes, galvanized welded pipes, oxygen blown welded pipes, wire sleeves, metric welded pipes, roller pipes, deep well pump pipes, automotive pipes, transformer pipes, welded thin-walled pipes, welded special-shaped pipes, and spiral welded pipes.
*Seamless steel pipes: Seamless pipes are divided into hot-rolled pipes, cold-rolled pipes, cold drawn pipes, extruded pipes, top pipes, etc. According to the cross-sectional shape, seamless steel pipes are divided into two types: circular and irregular. Irregular pipes have complex shapes such as square, elliptical, triangular, hexagonal, melon seed, star, and finned pipes. The maximum diameter is, and the minimum diameter is 0.3mm. According to different purposes, there are thick walled pipes and thin-walled pipes.
