An equal tee pipe fitting is designed such that the diameter of the branch pipe matches that of the main pipe. In contrast, a reducing tee pipe fitting features a branch pipe with a smaller diameter than that of the main pipe. Reducing tee pipe fitting is also called unequal diameter tee.
